Bulky Yarn – I used Patons Shetland Chunky in Biscuit and Soft Teal. You will need approximately 1 1/2 skeins of each.
Cowl is crocheted in rows width wise then joined at each end to create circle.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. (27) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: (Sc, ch 2, sc) in 1st st, skip next st. (sc, ch 2, sc) in next, skip next st.
Repeat from * to * until end of row. (14 ch 2 spaces) Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: (Sc, ch 2, sc) in 1st ch 2 space. (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 space Repeat from * to * until end of row. (14 ch 2 spaces) Ch 1, turn.
Repeat row 3 until pieces measures 30 inches.
Change to contrast colour now. Cut and weave in ends of main colour.
Repeat row 3 with contrast colour until pieces measures 60 inches.
You will now be joining the ends to create circle scarf. Fold neck warmer in half length wise short ends together. Work slip stitch through both layers to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
